Whoever said public school was free was completely wrong.
After spending half the day purchasing school supplies and labeling all supplies (even individual pencils need to be labeled) for three children going into school this fall, my pocket book is much lighter. I am wondering where the revenue from our property taxes is going. Then there is the fees and forms day. Another chuck out of the wallet.
All I have left for my hard work for the day is a blister on my finger from having to sharpen all the fifty No. 2 pencils that are required.
I still haven't bought school shoes yet. God help me!
