Why is it that Dads go fishing or golfing with the Grandpas on Father's Days and Mom's end up having to hang out with the whole family on Mother's Day? And we still have to do the dishes and help prepare meals.
When I am asked what I want to do for Mother's Day, I just want to be left alone in silence so I can read a book or write on my blog. Then the response is that that isn't mother-like for Mother's day and I can't do that.
I enjoy hanging out with my family, but then stop asking me what I want for Mother's Day because I am not going to get what I want anyway.
Bah humbug!
