Soccer Season has Finally Started

What an awesome start to our Spring soccer season. A new team for Child #2 and Child #3. I play both kids on the same team because I don't want to have to deal with three separate soccer schedules. Since Child #2 and Child #3 are only a year apart, the clubs allow my youngest to play up one level. To be honest, she belongs playing up one level.

Due to some poor planning, disorganization, and over crowding with our city's soccer club, we decided to jump to the soccer club next door. It was the best decision ever. Both of my kids get more playing time and all of her teammates are strong soccer players. The best part of this whole thing is Child #3, my baby, just scored her first soccer goal. Her foot control and power skyrocketed this season. She is one quick and agile firecracker. To put the icing on the cake, Child #2 scored two goals. Her second goal was a line drive, in the air, to the right corner of the goal. The perfect sweet spot. 

I was so proud of the girls that I didn't realize until half way through the game that me and another mom were the only ones cheering loudly and maybe a tad bit excessive for the team (it was all extremely positive, just a little loud). This group of team parents might be a little more subdued than what we are use to. Oh well. We'll see how it goes on Friday. We're actually playing the team we just left so it should be an interesting game. To be continued...
