Drinks at Mo’s-The night before Thanksgiving

This is from my old blog, but I had to add this one to the new one. Some of you will get a kick out of this and others might not.

So I get a little out of control when I drink, who says its a bad thing. Right? Well maybe some might disagree. This is an apology to the person at Mo's that I may or may not have accidently hurt. If you have been to Mo's, they have two rooms divided by a set of doors. Who's idea was that anyway? We were on the large bar side and the bathrooms were on the small room side. I had to go to the bathroom. No. I didn't go into the mens bathroom. I made it into the women's bathroom successfully this time. I even had an escort. Erin was kind enough to escort me to and from the bathroom, but this is where her assignment fell short. I was coming through those doors I was talking about before. Who would remember whether the doors were heavy or not so I estimated a little too much with my weight leaning into them. The door smacks hard into a chair and apparently a person was sitting in that chair. I said "Oops" and maybe a giggle came out, but I forgot to say I was sorry. Since my focus was to get back to where everyone else was, I made a b-line straight back to the bar to get another drink not realizing the full extent of what I actually did. Erin was lagging behind me and I think pretended not to know me, but she finally caught back up to recap the whole incident to the rest of the group. Well anyway. I am apologizing to the unknown soul who unfortunately crossed my path.

Cable is evil!

HOLY CRAP! Cable is definitely evil. This is exactly why we got rid of cable five years ago. The cable was hooked up on Friday. We now have cable, internet and phone through the cable company. By Sunday, I am able to use the new digital cable smoothly. Give me a break it has been five years. Don't get me wrong, I love the new setup. We had such a busy day on Saturday I was completely happy to veg out in front of the TV all day long. We watched kid shows in the morning so by noon I was wanting some kind of movie. TNT was nice enough to provide "What Women Want," which I hadn't seen in awhile so I go ahead and put that on. The kids were busy playing anyway. As the conclusion comes around to the movie, I realize it is about 2:00 pm. All of a sudden an "OH SHIT" escapes my mouth, I just realized that my nephews birthday started at 2:00 pm. Thankfully, the kids were already dressed. In speed record time I was dressed and out the door by 2:15 pm. This is all cables fault. I would have never forgotten if I wasn't all wrapped up into watching TV. Well maybe I still would have, but we will never know now because the cable has been installed.

The weekend made up for the crappy week.

I forgot to add this one too.

James and I went out this Saturday, just the two of us. Since he has been working out of town every week, we needed some alone time together to reconnect. I know this sounds corny, but it works for us. We went to Bucas for drinks and dinner, had a fabulous time. Even when I went to the restroom, released my business and as I was walking out I thought to myself how strange they have urinals in the women's bathroom. I didn't let this ruin the night even when people were starring at me when I came out. Either they were thinking I was some kind of tranvestite or I was a complete ditz. After the week I had, I would definitely relate to the level of ditz. By the time I got back to the table, I was laughing so hard I thought I was going to have to pee again. All James said was "Only my wife." We laughed some more and decided to take our entertainment out for some more drinks.

Trying to cope with the craziness

How do you cope with all the craziness? Between husband, kids, friends, work and kids school stuff/activities it is extremely overwhelming for me. In order for me to go out tonight, last night I had to make several arrangements. I needed a baby sitter who would have to pick my kids up (from different locations), make dinner and put the kids to bed for me since my husband will be out of town again. I had to write out directions to my sister-in-laws house so the baby sitter could pick up Child #1. Then make dinner instructions. Child #1 had a school project due for today as well so I had to upload pictures to walgreens and go pick them up. In the mean time, I was supposed to clean the house somewhat so we didn't look like complete slobs. Needless to say I never really got around to this so I continued to work with Child #1 on her project. Next feed the kids, bath the kids and put the kids to bed. Prepare for the next day. Attempted to clean, gave up and went to bed. Child #3 had nightmares all night long so I never really slept well, but when I woke up a miracle was upon us. The house was cleaned. My loving husband cleaned the house in the middle of the night. I was definitely surprised. So all the craziness is worth it.

Super Mom

If there is a super mom, super women or super wife out there, I would like to meet her because I certainly can't find her in my mirror.
